Second post EVER!

Damn muddy waters was a good bluesman! Wish I could of seen him when he was alive. Got to see James Cotton several months ago in Washington DC. Now that was incredible! It's not like he could play a lick of harp anymore (or at least the way he use to), it was his presence. It was like seeing a piece of history with your own eyes. Something that wouldn't be around much longer. I say "something" because some men represent more then themselves, they represent an era. Sure, Buddy Guy, B.B. King, and a hand few of other greats who helped bring about the greatness of Chicago Blues, will still be around, but they won't last forever. It's not like Rock, or rap, where someone's there to pick up the torch and bring the music in a new direction, you know.

I listen to alot Muddy Waters, Albert King, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Hound dog Taylor, and others before I go out on a long run (or hit the crack pipe ;). It seems to calm me for that long kind of steady rythm you need to find when your out there for a couple hours on the road.

What is this fascination with blues singers? You do know that you are white, right?
